Ditiola radicata

is one possibility, but D. radicata is said to embed itself into its woody substrates. These were affixed to the bark or, at most, the very exterior layer of the underlying wood. Another is Heterotextus/Guepiniopsis. Cavalierly (and probably incorrectly) ID’ed as something in the Tremellaceae by a local mycologist.

Alas, no microscopy. Soon to change on future outings.
