The stipes on these guys were very fragile, snapping at the barest touch, it seemed! I got chocolate spores from the young looking one, but found what looked like black spores caught on the stipe of the biggest (oldest?) one. The large one was 4cm across and 4 cm tall. The stipe was 1 cm wide. Fruiting in a group in a manzanita grove under oak.
