Observation 461060: Hygrocybe (Fr.) P. Kumm.

Found in mixed Juniper-Oak woodlands towards the back of the UH coastal center. Waxy cap, free yellowish gills, brilliant red cap coloration. Stem lightens towards the base. Did not notice any black bruising while holding, but did not observe it for terribly long. My top guesses are H. cuspidata, H. conica, and H. coccinea.
