Guardians of the Great Circle

These were growing from wood mulch under a hardwood tree at great circle earthworks park in Newark Ohio. There are lots of really big old trees there, and whenever a branch falls off, they chip it and pile it up. These little mushrooms were in every corner of the park, like spirits of the builders watching over their sacred ground.
