the genera into which Limacella has been subdivided. This looks more like Amanita flavoconia that has seen a lot of rain.

The surface of the cap in amanitas often gelatinizes to allow escape from the volva and avoiding distortion and damage to the cap if the universal veil were to remain, or become, firmly affixed before the cap can fully expand. Rain can reactivate the gelatinization even in mature specimens of Amanita.
