This looks like the other observations I have made for Amanita whetstoneae, the volva was smashed around the base.

I should have added the length, this thing was long (9 inches), the color of the pileus was the same color as Amanita whetstoneae when young but I have not observed it change yet.

The young whetstoneae were the exact same color when not exposed to the sunlight.
