Collection location: Walking Iron Park, Dane Co., Wisconsin, USA [Click for map]
Photographed 6/25/2010. Yellowish, especially when young, to 9 cm high, white-clad base and white rhizomes, Hymenium turns greenish with FeCl3, dries brown, spores yellowish, Ramarioid, ~5×2.5 microns.
We saw what I believe to be the same species at Jamieson Park, photographed 6/27/2010. Ramaria yellow young 3.5 & 4 cm high for biggest clumps, others were smaller; turned brownish overnight, FeCl3 dark green on hymenium. Spores yellowish brown in mass, small, maybe 5×2.5 microns.
I am terrible with Ramaria. I would appreciate a name.
