Observation 48129: Trametes gibbosa (Pers.) Fr.

White polypore with long skinny pores, the larger one in the photo is ~ 7 cm long in largesd dimension. pores ~ 5 mm deep at center, taper as go out, context similar depth but lumped up in center, very tough (it defeated our garbage dispoal). saw no spores. Photographed on top of the log it grew on the side of. No color change with KOH. I did not see the variable pore shape that people talk about, but this may be Trametes elegans?
