Observation 48467: Dacryopinax spathularia (Schwein.) G.W. Martin

When: 2010-07-11

Collection location: Walking Iron Park, Dane Co., Wisconsin, USA [Click for map]

Who: Steve Nelsen (sfnelsen)

No specimen available

Notes:
Jelly fungus, stemmed, orange and tiny, maybe 5 mm high and 3 mm wide at the ‘cap’. Badly dried out by time we got home. Anyone hazard a guess for this from the shape?

I guess I was being too literal about “spathulata’s” shape, and presume that it is indeed Dacroyopinax spathulata. I had seen it before at Walking Iron with the same shape
