Habitat: Northwest inclined, moderately steep slope of a low mountain, mixed forest with predominant Picea abies, washed-out probably acid forest soil, calcareous ground, shade, protected from direct rain by three canopies, average precipitations ~ 2.300 mm/year, average temperature 10-12 deg C, elevations 340 m (1.100 feet), border between alpine, subalpine and submediterranean phytogeographical region.

Substratum: soil among rotten wood debris and roots.

Place: North of Mrzli Vrh hill, 590 m (1.936 feet), near village Kozaršče, Tolminsko, Posočje, Slovenia EC

Comment: Growing in a small group of 6-7 fungi. Hygrophanous and very fragile with hollow stem.
