yet another constricted grisette? what is this world coming to??! ;)

The volva shows no sign of graying and the cap is rather pale for constricta..

The species is somewhat reminiscent of an undescribed species that I know from the southern Rocky Mtns. and the island mountains in SE Arizona. The provisional name for the southwestern taxon is Amanita mobilimanica Tulloss nom. prov. I hesitate to apply that name to a specimen from Ontario. I think the most conservative action to take is to assign this photographed specimen to sect. Vaginatae.

A well-dried herbarium specimen of this entity would be very interesting to review.
