An earth-star. If with sterile base, Geastrum. If with no sterile base, Astraeus. Photos suggest Astraeus to me. Also peridium lacks a peak or centralized pore for spore dispersal. If Astraeus, then likely A. hygrometricus: found in Alberta, small size, apical pore irregular or poorly defined.
