As usual this time of year, a sizable patch of chanterelles is developing at the Zone 03/04 border, just on the 03 side of it. The predominant trees here are red and white pine (P. resinosa and P. strobus) and Balsam fir (Abies balsamea). Zone 03 has a higher proportion of hardwoods, with birch (B. papyrifera) and maple nearby.
