It’s a beat-up old Amanita, but it’s an Amanita. Yellow cap with darker yellow warts, yellowish stipe. Could be A. flavoconia. Found in D9C. A. flavoconia had been observed two weeks prior in D9B, not very far away.

What makes you think it’s not a (dried out, moth-eaten) A. flavoconia?
