Chunky stemmed Boletus, possibly auripes but not sure. Pore
surface turned dark blue quickly. Found amidst mixed hardwood/conifer forest.

for me here. the combination of quick-bluing pores, reticulate stem and the short fat stature of these suggest Boletus speciosus var. brunneus; that’s my best cautious guess.

which has a darker cap. Not sure what you have here. Maybe Boletebill can render an opinion on this one.
