These had caps that were up to 5.1 cm across, dry and somewhat hygrophanous.
The stipe was rather fragile and hollowish.
The spores were ~ 7.2-8.2 X 5.1-5.9 microns and somewhat rough.
KOH on the cap gave brown.
KOH on the cap flesh was brown
KOH on the stipe was grayish

It seems close to Cortinarius obtusus.
