Never saw any blue staining on any subcaerulescens until the pores have turned yellow and then only on the pore surface.

observed? I have found a few young subcaerulescens buttons which showed no staining, but relatively mature specimens usually show a little blue on the tubes, on the inner part of the tubes (where they meet the cap context), or on the cap context where it meets the tube layer.
