Observation 5193: Leptonia (Fr.) P. Kumm.

When: 2007-11-17

Collection location: Albion, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Douglas Smith (douglas)

No specimen available

Notes:
I’m calling these Leptonia, although I’m not that sure. There is a pinkish spore drop on a spider web under the caps, and the stipe is dark grey with a white patch at the base. Which says Leptonia to me.

But I haven’t seen ones which split radially in the caps like this.
