This was id’ed by the spore size, using the info on the “golden” Pholiota in Arora, plus looking at info on the web. Seems close enough here. I should post the spore photos later, although they aren’t that good, but the size was accurate enough.

The micro-shot here is of a gill edge, under Meltzer’s. The spores are non-dextrinoid, non-amyloid, and non-ornamented. This is at 400x, and you can argue about accuracy of spore measurements from here, but the average can be reasonably accurate if you measure enough. The ave spore size here is 6 × 3.7 um. Using the notes in Arora on spore size, makes this one P. adiposa.
