Found in Zone 38 under mixed trees. 38 has Abies balsamea, Acer sp., Betula papyrifera, Pinus banksiana, P. resinosa, P. strobus, and possibly Picea sp.

Brown cap, dull yellowish tubes and pores, whitish stipe with black scabers. Sizable (8 cm tall, 6 wide, or so).
