Specimen available

small shelf mushroom on several-year-dead v rotten moss-covered hardwood log by trail
ST: lateral, yellower and less scurfy than cap, 5-20mm long, stubby
CAP: to 30mm wide, sticking out up to 20mm, nicely shaped rounded cap, deep green scurfy over yellowish context paling in age to mottled yellowish grayish greenish, margin curled under, slimy
FLESH: quite thick (up to 10mm?), whitish but watery when fresh, semi-tough
VEIL: none
GILL: decurrent, bright yellow fading in age, v close, less than 2mm deep, many are forked (this seems to be a regular feature in ours)
SPORE: creamy white (I’ve found it very hard to get a good print)
