you were thinking of varieties of aeruginosa, most of them are synonyms to other species. There’s one aeruginosa f. brunneola, but I can’t find much info about that one, just seen it mentioned from China and Japan..

is a bit difficult..

Stropharia cyanea has more like brown spores, while they are darker, purplish black in aeruginosa.
S. aeruginea has gills with a white edge (not cyanea), and usually a more persistent ring than cyanea.

So, my guess is aeruginosa on this one (but only because of the spore colour).

I haven’t compared them in the microscope myself, but aeruginosa is supposed to have plenty of cheilocystidia, but none or very few of the chrysocystidia type, while those occuring in cyanea are chrysocystidia (with yellow context).

I wonder if anyone can confirm that..?
