This 2" white shelf fungus had a rather small lateral attachment to a dead log. The top was uneven and the white underside was covered with tiny pores with relatively thick walls.

Recognized by sight: Shelf-like pored fungus on wood. Probably would need spore work to key out further. Do see multiple pore sizes in the last detailed photo, including some tubes with abnormally thickened walls.
