Observation 53979: Pluteus flavofuligineus G.F. Atk.

When: 2010-09-21

Collection location: Blue Ridge Parkway, Jackson Co., North Carolina, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

No specimen available

This lone specimen was growing on an old log in mixed woods.
Cap was about 3 cm across.
The spores were deep pink, and ~ 7.1-8.1 X 6.0-6.3 microns.
It seems to fit the description fairly well but this is a new one for me.
