When: 2007-12-11

Collection location: Howarth Park, Santa Rosa, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Debbie Drechsler (debdrex)

No specimen available

Notes:
Fruiting at the base of a dying madrone amongst douglas fir, a three needle pine, bay and oak. The open pileus is 5 cm across. Smells of what I now refer to as “green corn”. A sweet, rather corn-like smell, rather strongly. Gills were white but I wasn’t able to get a good look without removing the specimen.
