a very common western mushroom.

too pale, striations too short and the volva doesn’t look right, either. no reason to think that this isn’t one of the many many undescribed grisettes here in North America.

Scott Redhead did the ID. The collection shound be vouchered. The voucher number is ABForay 2010-326. I also have a voucher photo but the the picture I posted was nicer. I am not certain some of the Alberta mushrooms but Amanita in Alberta are very uncommon. This was the only Amanita at the foray. And the foray was very good.
