How do you think I feel! lol

I expressed confusion in a previous post about crenulata type taxon and just how morphologically variable A. crenulata is.

To make matters worse, I collected these in the immediate vicinity as these confusing critters…

They have a story of their own and I can’t tell if they’re the same or different, of what. At any rate, I have both collections dried and will be sending them to you. I hope you can help alleviate my confusion, at least a little.

I just wasn’t sure about these. The slightly rooting bulb and the very broad gills (projecting below the cap margin in side view) bothered me. ???
