I also remember finding these along this trail, and how very beautiful they were! We returned this year, and found many different species, including edibles, which we really weren’t looking for. Also, if you actually power to the lookout instead of crawling along the ground inch by inch, there is a great view at the end (and plenty of great fungi at the edge!).

Our local, non-mushrooming friend made us walk quickly, and we were glad she did!

We went slowly on the way back, tho. Same as it ever was. ;)
