Sounds like a good reason to me. I was just confused as to what the proper name is, but it seems like there is flexibility.

I had learned that this muscaria in the PNW was var. flavivolvata, then everyone was calling it amerimuscaria nom. prov. so I was just curious if something had “changed” recently. Thx.

I have flip-flopped.

I have decided that I don’t want to use provisional names anymore.

My apologies for being annoying.

back to var. flavivolvata?

Can someone explain why amerimuscaria is not used? Thx.
