Observation 58636: Daedaleopsis confragosa (Bolton) J. Schröt.

When: 2010-11-12

Collection location: Oshawa, Ontario, Canada [Click for map]

Who: Jon (Jon Woodsman)

No specimen available

I think this is a dark or old Onnia tomentosa (Fr.) P. Karst. or maybe Daedaleopsis confragosa , the Pores are yellowish brown near the middle and get darker towards the edge. The Pores are round and becoming elongated towards the edge, maybe just damaged. It has no stalk, attched directly to the wood it was a dead birch branch on the ground.
