There are lots of over-lapping caps here, did you see the brown spores on these? And was the spore drop really a medium-brown color? I agree the gills darken in age, but so does the whole body, I’m not sure I can see the medium-brown spore color in these shots, and with so much over-lap on the bodies, it seems like you should see plenty of brown spores… I wonder if these are something more interesting… It would be good to see micro-shots of the spores, if you are so inclined.
