On the side of a trail, the soil was sandy. There where lots of Pinus radiata around with a few other conifers and multiple kinds of shrubs.

Not finding a good description for Armillaria ostoyae, but based on other pictures for the species on mushroom observer, I would think the gills on my find look a tad dark for it and they weren’t fruiting in a clustered formation which the other collections seem to be doing.
