Observation 60465: Mycena renati Quél.

When: 2005-05-15

Collection location: A few km north of Xanthi, Greece [Click for map]

Who: Angelos Papadimitriou (Aggelos(Xanthi))

No specimen available

The clustered growth on rotting wood of hardwoods (finds with very few, or even only one, basidiome(s) are not unlikely, however), the shiny yellow stipe and the distinctive chlorine-like smell, especially if crushed between fingers, make this a rather easily recognizable species.
