Observation 60819: Podaxis pistillaris (L.) Fries

When: 2010-11-15

Collection location: Mesa, Arizona, USA [Click for map]

Who: John Steinke (John Steinke)

Specimen available

Specimen is in personal herbarium.

I find it hard to seperate Podaxis from Coprinus. Podaxis pistillaris, when fresh, has a better defined cord down the center of the stipe than Coprinus comatus.
