Observation 60881: Cortinarius glutinosoarmillatus Bojantchev, Ammirati, Liimat. & Niskanen

When: 2010-12-15

Collection location: Bon Tempe Reservoir, Marin Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Ron Pastorino (Ronpast)

Specimen available

Notes:
These were growing near Live Oak, Madrone, and a few small firs.
The caps were very slimy as were the stems.
The spores were somewhat wider than what is noted in the literature and even from what I’ve collected before of C. trivialis. They were ~ 11.7-13.2(14.0) X 8.0-9.0 microns.
