Observation 60998: Agaricus albolutescens Zeller

When: 2010-12-18

Collection location: Salt Point State Park, Sonoma Co., California, USA [Click for map]

Who: TBO

No specimen available

Notes:
While this specimen has fibrils, they are not as heavy or colored like many A. augustus in photos. I’m a little doubtful that this is indeed an augustus due to the non-obvious nature of some of the more distinct features and the time of year it was collected. The stalk, below the veil, is obscurely shaggy. There was only one massive one. Can anyone help me confirm the species as I don’t know of any other likely candidates?
