Recognized by sight: P. uliginicola is described with a “pale drab (”pallid Quaker
drab")" context which is corroborated with one of Kauffman’s photos at the back of Smith’s book (Plate 32). This observation has a rather dark context unlike your obs 62434. I wonder if there could be more than one of these critters out there?

Recognized by sight: The west coast version of Psathyrella ulignicola has been sequenced and the ITS region is 91% similar (647/710) to the holotype of P. uliginicola. See http://scmycoflora.org/sequencing/specimen.php?project=6 and http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nucleotide/557116293. It falls within Coprinopsis.
