Sorry, I couldn’t resist the cheap pun. This inky cap is a non-toxic mushroom that only becomes toxic in the presence of alcohol, creating very unpleasant symptoms similar to the drug Antabuse, even if alcohol is drunk several days after eating the mushroom!

I think you meant Coprinopsis atramentaria rather than Coprinellus atramentaria

I just noticed that you have several observations under the name Coprinellus atramentaria. I’ve gone ahead and deprecated that name and made it synonym for Coprinopsis atramentaria.
