A bit fuzzy…

… but there’s definitely something dark underneath everything, more than just a few rhizines. I still don’t know A. americana, but A. ornata is perfectly plausible. (Definitely not _A. colpodes, at least, since it is definitely sorediate on the margins.)

(Damn, there goes my theory about Anzia always having deep cross-wise cracks on the surface.)
