Found these little guys on a semi-barren, shady lawn. The smell was mildly fungal as far as I remember, and I chickened out on trying the taste.
The pileipellis is made of more or less idenical spherical or drop-shaped cells, and the basidia are two-spored with pointed as well as blunt sterigmata. Paraphyses resemble basidia a lot. I didn’t find any sterile cells in the sample.
