Observation 63579: Bjerkandera adusta (Willd.) P. Karst.

Really beautiful mass of color and texture found on a rotting hardwood. Thick and rubbery with minute tubes.
Can’t figure between Coniophora, Merulius, Serpula or even Phlebia at this point.

Lincoff has some info on Coniophoraceae that looked and read as similar.

Pretty unsure at this point. Merulius? Phlebia?
