Recognized by sight: Noticed presence of a persistent double annulus, and gill plates hanging under entire cap, as opposed to margin in Montagnea
Used references: MD; consulted the key to Montagnea et al., in which this specimen keyed unambiguously to G. californicum. Christian Schwarz examined specimen with me and concurred.
