Used references: This flat Fomitiporia is visible from the rd. as you aproach the modular housing entrance at TESC campus. Unlike specimens of Fomitiporia we have found with reishi fruiting simultaneously on western hemlock- this species found on Douglas fir is generally a solo parasite. I plan on studying the relationship between Ganoderma oregonense and what we think is currently Fomitiporia tsugina infecting western hemlock equally on the same log. With multiple benefits from both species I think it may prove to be interesting to study human usages of these species taken medicinally in unison as well.2/16/15.
