Growing in a mixed group of pine and she-oak (Casuarina equisetifolia) and clearly colonizing the old wood chips that have been laid there. The caps are viscid and the spore color is rusty brown.


Background is an Western sycamore (Platanus racemosa) leaf.
Picture taken the day after being found.

This one looks like a Pholiotina. With the veil fragments on the cap margin in the first shot. Might be P. vestita. But it needs to be put under the scope really.
