Observation 65908: Morchella Dill. ex Pers.
When: 2011-04-21
Collection location: Rock Creek Regional Park, Montgomery Co., Maryland, USA [Click for map]
Who: Martin Livezey (MLivezey)
Project: Collection – Local Mycoflora
No specimen available
Notes:
The first Morel! It came when I was not looking for it, right by the exhaust drenched side of the road in the sunlight and green stuff all around. Yellows? They look good, but the environment is not clean. They turned black a few days later. Last photo is the location of collection – in the grass.

Some information that I found helpful, I hope it helps you too.
Thanks Aaron! I am dealing with a case of spring fever combined with the thrill of discovery. Thanks for the tip, I will definitely take a look.
