Check http://mushroomobserver.org/65923?q=4E2F – our other posting of this fungus. That one is definitely on Douglas-fir. We are not so sure with this one, it might have been on scales of Grand Fir (Abies grandis). A+O
Interesting here that you see them on D. fir cones, and we see them up in the Sierras only on red fir cones. I forget what do they grow on in Europe?
