Observation 67154: Psilocybe ovoideocystidiata Guzmán & Gaines

When: 2011-05-10

Collection location: Wayne National Forest, Hocking Co., Ohio, USA [Click for map]

Who: Dan Molter (shroomydan)

No specimen available

Notes:
Flooding early in the season has not adversely affected P. ovoideocystidiata. These were found in the national forest near a small river. You can see mud on the stinging nettle leaves, which indicates resent flooding. These psilocybes were under water for a little while, but they survived to sporulate after the flood receded.
