Why I don’t think it’s Rhizomarasmius pyrrhocephalus

The pictures didn’t show the stem base, but it definitely was not elongated or deeply rooted. The stem was tough enough that when I pulled up the mushroom, it came with a mat of leaves held together by the basal mycelium which can be seen in the photo. This allowed me to move the specimen around and set it down anywhere to get a better photo!
