Marasmius oreades has very characteristic distant gills – one long, one short, one long, one short..
I’m confident with Gymnopus as the genus here, but less with the species. The micro characters that are used to tell them apart are so darned subtle.

I’m assuming you are voting against the lack of an umbo, no hygrophanous character apparent, and lack of fuzz on the lower stipe, and for the more orange color?

The gills seem to be too crowded, also.

Tim, was there an oak around?
