Observation 67522: Pluteus Fr.

When: 2011-05-16

Collection location: Dimond Canyon, Oakland, California, USA [Click for map]

Who: Debbie Klein (dejaklein)

Specimen available

It was growing on dead wood, had a darker center of the cap, the gills were separate from the stipe. Its lighter than Pluteus cervinus. Pluteus is known to grow when other mushrooms aren’t around. I got a confirmation from someone who saw pictures I posted.
